| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Aruba Mobility Controllers versions 200, 800, 2400, and 6000
Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess Wireless versions 43xx and 6000
Description:
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in the management interfaces, which can be exploited by remote attackers using long credential strings. This can cause a denial of service, resulting in a process crash, and potentially allow the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations:
For Aruba Mobility Controllers versions 200, 800, 2400, and 6000, consider restricting access to the management interfaces to minimize the risk of exploitation.
For Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess Wireless versions 43xx and 6000, avoid using long credential strings in the management interfaces until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
