Description
A buffer overflow issue exists in the bufprint function in libcapi, which can be exploited by local users to cause a denial of service (crash) and potentially gain privileges. This is achieved by sending a crafted CAPI packet.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions 2.6.9 through 2.6.20, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue.
For isdn4k-utils, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
