Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) packet without a URI and SIP-version header, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference.

Recommendations For Asterisk versions 1.2 through 1.2.15, update to version 1.2.16 or later. For Asterisk versions 1.4 through 1.4.0, update to version 1.4.1 or later.
