| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Opera version 9.10
Description
The FTP protocol implementation allows remote servers to force the client to connect to other servers, perform a proxied port scan, or obtain sensitive information by specifying an alternate server address in an FTP PASV response.
Recommendations
For Opera version 9.10, consider disabling the FTP protocol implementation until a patch is available. Restrict access to FTP servers to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the FTP PASV response in the affected Opera version until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
