Description:
The default configuration of Microsoft Windows uses the Web Proxy Autodiscovery Protocol (WPAD) without static WPAD entries. This could allow remote attackers to intercept web traffic by registering a proxy server using WINS or DNS and then responding to WPAD requests. It has been demonstrated using Internet Explorer. Additionally, DHCP is reported as an alternate attack vector.

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
