Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
IBM Lotus Domino versions prior to 6.5.6

Description:
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in the LDAP server, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) by sending a long, malformed DN request. This request causes only the lower 16 bits of the string length to be used in memory allocation.
Recommendations:
For IBM Lotus Domino versions prior to 6.5.6, update to version 6.5.6 or later.
For IBM Lotus Domino versions 7.x prior to 7.0.2 FP1, update to version 7.0.2 FP1 or later.
