CVE-2007-1751
CVSS v2.0
9.3
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 6, and 7
Description:
A remote code execution issue exists due to the way Internet Explorer accesses an object that has not been correctly initialized or that has been deleted. An attacker could exploit this by constructing a specially crafted Web page. When a user views the Web page, it could allow remote code execution, potentially giving an attacker complete control of an affected system.
Recommendations:
For Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 6, and 7, consider avoiding the use of table cells and prototype variables in web pages until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, restrict access to specially crafted Web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
