CVE-2007-2430
CVSS v2.0
7.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
TCExam versions 4.0.011 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to create arbitrary PHP files in the cache directory by manipulating the SessionUserLang cookie in the public/code/index.php file. This is achieved by placing file contents and directory traversal manipulations into the cookie.
Recommendations
For TCExam versions 4.0.011 and earlier, consider restricting access to the public/code/index.php file and the cache directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the SessionUserLang cookie until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
