CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHPChain versions 1.0 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
catid parameter to settings.php or cat.php, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. Certain parameter values may also trigger path disclosure.Recommendations
For PHPChain versions 1.0 and earlier, avoid using the
catid parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to settings.php and cat.php to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
