The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the
user parameter during a ping action. This is related to the masterCGI in the Unified Maintenance Tool.Recommendations:
For Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server versions R7.1 and earlier, consider restricting access to the masterCGI in the Unified Maintenance Tool to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using shell metacharacters in the
user parameter during a ping action until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
