CVE-2007-3014

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: activeWeb contentserver versions prior to 5.6.2964
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via the msg parameter to specific API endpoints, such as "errors/rights.asp" or "errors/transaction.asp", or through the name of a MIME type (mimetype).
Recommendations: For activeWeb contentserver versions prior to 5.6.2964, update to version 5.6.2964 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "errors/rights.asp" and "errors/transaction.asp" endpoints, and avoid using user-provided input for the msg parameter or the name of a MIME type (mimetype) until the issue is resolved.
