Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a skin file with crafted header information, causing a size mismatch between compressed and decompressed data and triggering a heap-based buffer overflow.

For Microsoft Windows Media Player versions 7.1, 9, 10, and 11, consider disabling the use of skin files (WMZ or WMD) until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the heap-based buffer overflow.
