CVE-2007-3143
CVSS v2.0
6.4
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Konqueror version 3.5.5
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar and possibly conduct phishing attacks via a long hostname, which is truncated after a certain number of characters. This can be demonstrated by a phishing attack using HTTP Basic Authentication.
Recommendations:
For Konqueror version 3.5.5, consider updating to a newer version to mitigate the risk of address bar spoofing and phishing attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict the use of HTTP Basic Authentication to minimize the risk of exploitation.
