Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
YourFreeScreamer version 1.0
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code when register globals is enabled. This is achieved via a URL in the
serverPath parameter to bodyTemplate.php in various templates, including templates/Classic/, templates/Classic Guestbook/, templates/DarkNights/, and templates/Simplistic/.Recommendations
For YourFreeScreamer version 1.0, consider disabling the
register globals setting to prevent exploitation. Additionally, restrict access to the bodyTemplate.php file in the mentioned templates to minimize the risk of arbitrary PHP code execution. Avoid using the serverPath parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
