CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Interact version 2.4 beta 1
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the module key parameter to various API endpoints such as "kb/kb.php", "quiz/runquiz.php", "quiz/quiz.php", "forum/forum.php", "forum/byname.php", and "journal/journalview.php" in the modules/ directory, the tag key parameter to "modules/journal/journalview.php", the user group key parameter to "users/secureaccounts.php", and the request uri parameter to "login.php".
Recommendations For Interact version 2.4 beta 1, consider disabling the affected parameters, such as module key, tag key, user group key, and request uri, in their respective scripts until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable modules and scripts to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the specified parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
