Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
phpWebFileManager version 0.5
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the
PN PathPrefix parameter in the index.php file. However, this issue is disputed by a reliable third party, who demonstrates that PN PathPrefix is defined before use.Recommendations
For phpWebFileManager version 0.5, consider restricting access to the index.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
PN PathPrefix parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. Found an issue in the description? Have something to add? Feel free to write us 👾
