Description The issue allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service, leading to an application crash and preventing the examination of certain NTFS files. This is achieved by providing a malformed NTFS image that triggers the dereference of certain integer values in ntfs dent.c in fls or ntfs.c in fsstat.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.09, update to version 2.09 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of malformed NTFS images to prevent the application crash.
