Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Racer version 0.5.3 beta 5
Description
The issue is related to multiple buffer overflows in both the client and server components. These buffer overflows can be triggered by remote attackers sending a long string to UDP port 26000, which can lead to the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Racer version 0.5.3 beta 5, consider restricting access to UDP port 26000 until a patch is available to prevent potential exploitation of the buffer overflows. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
