CVE-2007-4425

CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Live for Speed (LFS) demo, S1, and S2
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (server crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved by sending an ID 3 packet with a long nickname field or an ID 10 packet containing a long string corresponding to an unavailable track.
Recommendations For Live for Speed (LFS) demo, S1, and S2, consider restricting access to the nickname field in ID 3 packets and limiting the length of strings corresponding to unavailable tracks in ID 10 packets to prevent server crashes and potential code execution until a fix is available.
