Description:
A buffer overflow exists in the
php openssl make REQ function, which could be exploited by a remote attacker to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.Recommendations:
For versions prior to 5.2.4, update to version 5.2.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
php openssl make REQ function until a patch is applied.Fix
