CVE-2007-4887

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: PHP versions 5.2.4 and earlier
Description: The issue allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash, by providing a long string in the library parameter to the dl function. This is noted to have limited usage scenarios under which it would be considered a vulnerability.
Recommendations: For PHP versions 5.2.4 and earlier, consider restricting the use of the dl function or limiting the length of the string that can be passed to the library parameter as a temporary mitigation measure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
