Description: The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is achieved via the post type parameter to the pingback.extensions.getPingbacks method in the XMLRPC interface, as well as other unspecified parameters related to early database escaping and missing validation of query string like parameters.

Recommendations: For Wordpress versions prior to 2.2.3, update to version 2.2.3 or later. For Wordpress multi-user (MU) versions prior to 1.2.5a, update to version 1.2.5a or later.
