Description The issue is related to the improper validation of certain parameters to System Service Descriptor Table (SSDT) function handlers. This can be exploited by local users to cause a denial of service, potentially leading to a crash, and may also allow them to gain privileges. The vulnerability is specifically associated with the NtCreateKey and NtOpenProcess kernel SSDT hooks.
Recommendations For G DATA InternetSecurity version 2007, consider applying configuration changes to restrict access to the SSDT function handlers as a temporary mitigation measure. However, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
