CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
World in Conflict version 1.000 and earlier
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a daemon crash, by sending a string with an invalid value in the third byte to the VoIP port (52999/tcp) using the GetMagicNumberString function.
Recommendations:
For World in Conflict version 1.000 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the VoIP port (52999/tcp) until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
