6.8

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: JContentSubscription (com jcs) version 1.5.8
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the mosConfig absolute path parameter to various PHP files, including (1) jcs.function.php, (2) add.php, (3) history.php, and (4) register.php in the view/ directory, and (5) list.sub.html.php, (6) list.user.sub.html.php, and (7) reports.html.php in the views/ directory.
Recommendations: For JContentSubscription (com jcs) version 1.5.8, consider disabling access to the mosConfig absolute path parameter in the affected PHP files until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable files in the view/ and views/ directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the mosConfig absolute path parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
