CVE-2007-5417

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: boastMachine (aka bMachine) version 2.8
Description: The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files due to a directory traversal vulnerability in the index.php file. This is achieved by using a .. (dot dot) in the id parameter.
Recommendations: For version 2.8, consider restricting access to the id parameter in the index.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the id parameter with .. (dot dot) sequences until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
