Description:
The issue affects the GIOP service in the TNS Listener component, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service or read potentially sensitive memory. This is achieved by sending a connect GIOP packet with an invalid data size, which triggers a buffer over-read.
Recommendations:
For Oracle Database versions 9.0.1.5 through 10.2.0.3, apply the recommended patch to fix the issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
