Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHPBlog version 0.1 Alpha
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the
blog localpath parameter to includes/functions.php or includes/email.php. However, it is noted that this issue is disputed because the identified code is in functions that are not accessible via direct request.Recommendations
For PHPBlog version 0.1 Alpha, consider restricting access to the
includes/functions.php and includes/email.php files to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the blog localpath parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Code Injection
