| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Massive Entertainment World in Conflict versions 1.001 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a failed assertion and daemon crash. This can be achieved by sending a large packet to TCP or UDP port 48000.
Recommendations
For versions 1.001 and earlier, consider restricting access to TCP and UDP port 48000 to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, implement network traffic filtering to block large packets destined for these ports until a fix is available.
