CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Ben Ng Scribe versions 0.2 and earlier
Description A direct static code injection issue exists, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code into a certain file in regged/ via the username parameter in a Register action. This issue may be related to the register function in forumfunctions.php.
Recommendations For Ben Ng Scribe versions 0.2 and earlier, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the username parameter in the Register action until a patch is available. Avoid using the username parameter in the affected registration functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
