CVE-2007-5977

CVSS v2.0

3.5

Low

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions phpMyAdmin versions prior to 2.11.2.1
Description The issue is related to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It allows remote authenticated users with CREATE DATABASE privileges to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a hex-encoded IMG element in the db parameter in a POST request to the 'db create.php' file.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.11.2.1, update to version 2.11.2.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'db create.php' file or limiting the CREATE DATABASE privileges to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the db parameter in the affected POST request until the issue is resolved.
