Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Absolute News Manager.NET version 5.1
Description
The issue concerns multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. Specifically, the vulnerabilities can be exploited via the
rmore parameter to "xlaabsolutenm.aspx" and the template parameter to "pages/default.aspx".Recommendations
For Absolute News Manager.NET version 5.1, consider restricting access to the
rmore parameter in the "xlaabsolutenm.aspx" endpoint and the template parameter in the "pages/default.aspx" endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using these parameters until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
