Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions

Description
The issue is related to multiple integer overflows in the VideoLAN VLC media player, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (crash). This is achieved through the MP4 demuxer, Real demuxer, and Cinepak codec, triggering a buffer overflow.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 0.8.6f, update to version 0.8.6f or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MP4 demuxer, Real demuxer, and Cinepak codec until a patch is available.
