Description The issue is a heap-based buffer overflow in the activePDF Server service, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved by sending a packet with a size field that is less than the actual size of the data.

Recommendations For activePDF Server versions 3.8.4 through 3.8.5.14, update to version 3.8.6.16 or later. For activePDF Server versions prior to 3.8.6.16, update to version 3.8.6.16 or later.
