Description
The issue is related to multiple heap-based buffer overflows that can be triggered by remote attackers sending crafted compressed data, potentially allowing them to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For EMC RepliStor versions 6.2 SP2 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue, as using crafted compressed data can lead to arbitrary code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
