| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
unp versions prior to 1.0.14
Description
The issue is related to the improper escaping of file names, which could allow attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a filename argument. This might only be a concern when unp is invoked by a third-party product.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.0.14, update to version 1.0.14 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the invocation of unp to trusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
