Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via an HTTP request containing double-encoded sequences (.%252e). This is due to a directory traversal vulnerability in DirHandler (lib/mongrel/handlers.rb).

Recommendations For Mongrel version 1.0.4, update to version 1.1.3 or later. For Mongrel versions 1.1.x through 1.1.2, update to version 1.1.3 or later.
