CVE-2007-6696

CVSS v2.0

2.1

Low

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WebCalendar version 1.1.6
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, which can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via three different vectors: (1) an event description, (2) the query string to "pref.php", and (3) the adv parameter to "search.php". It is noted that vector 1 requires user authentication.
Recommendations For WebCalendar version 1.1.6, consider restricting access to the event description field, the query string to "pref.php", and the adv parameter to "search.php" to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these vulnerable components until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
