CVE-2008-0164

CVSS v4.0

8.7

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Plone CMS versions 3.0.5 through 3.0.6 Plone CMS versions prior to 3.1
Description The issue concerns multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to perform certain actions without the victim's consent. Specifically, attackers can (1) add arbitrary accounts via the "join form" page and (2) change the privileges of arbitrary groups via the "prefs groups overview" page.
Recommendations For Plone CMS versions 3.0.5 and 3.0.6, update to version 3.1 or later to resolve the issue. For Plone CMS versions prior to 3.1, update to version 3.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "join form" and "prefs groups overview" pages until a patch is available.
