CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MiniWeb HTTP Server version 0.8.19
Description The issue is a heap-based buffer overflow in the mwProcessReadSocket function, located in the http.c file. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long URI.
Recommendations For MiniWeb HTTP Server version 0.8.19, consider restricting access to the mwProcessReadSocket function until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the length of URIs that can be processed by the server to prevent exploitation.
