Description The issue is related to a buffer overflow that occurs when user authentication is enabled. This happens when a remote attacker sends a user name with a large number of quotes, triggering the overflow during the escaping process. The result is a denial of service, causing an exception.
Recommendations For Anon Proxy Server versions 0.102 and earlier, consider disabling user authentication as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the authentication module to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
