CVE-2008-0652

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Mambo and Joomla! (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is achieved by exploiting the filecatid parameter in a "selectfolder" action within the index.php file of the Downloads (com downloads) component.
Recommendations For all affected versions, consider restricting access to the vulnerable filecatid parameter in the "selectfolder" action until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the filecatid parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
