Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Larson Network Print Server (LstNPS) versions 9.4.2 build 105 and earlier
Description
The issue is a stack-based buffer overflow in NPSpcSVR.exe, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long argument in a LICENSE command on TCP port 3114.
Recommendations
For Larson Network Print Server (LstNPS) versions 9.4.2 build 105 and earlier, consider restricting access to TCP port 3114 to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using long arguments in the LICENSE command until a patch is available.
