Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue exists in the silc fingerprint function, located in lib/silcutil/silcutil.c, which can be triggered by remote attackers sending long input data. This can cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash, or potentially allow the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations For SILC Toolkit versions 1.1.5 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
