VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MailEnable Professional Edition versions 3.13 and earlier MailEnable Enterprise Edition versions 3.13 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash, by exploiting the IMAP service. This can be achieved through the use of SEARCH and APPEND commands without the required arguments, leading to a NULL pointer dereference.
Recommendations For MailEnable Professional Edition versions 3.13 and earlier, update to a version later than 3.13 to resolve the issue. For MailEnable Enterprise Edition versions 3.13 and earlier, update to a version later than 3.13 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the IMAP service until a patch is available.
