| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SLMail Pro versions 6.3.1.0 and earlier
WebContainer.exe version 1.0.0.336 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in memory corruption and daemon crash, or possibly execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved by sending HTTP requests with a long URI to TCP port 801.
Recommendations
For SLMail Pro versions 6.3.1.0 and earlier, consider restricting access to TCP port 801 until a fix is available.
For WebContainer.exe version 1.0.0.336 and earlier, avoid processing long URIs in HTTP requests as a temporary workaround.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
