CVE-2008-2085

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SIPp version 3.1
Description The issue is related to multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the get remote ip media and get remote ipv6 media functions in call.cpp. This can be exploited by remote attackers via a crafted SIP message, potentially leading to a denial of service (application crash) and possibly the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations For SIPp version 3.1, consider disabling the get remote ip media and get remote ipv6 media functions in call.cpp as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the call.cpp module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the affected SIPp version until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
