Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
EJ3 BlackBook version 1.0
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via several parameters to specific PHP files, including
bookCopyright and ver to "footer.php", and bookName, bookMetaTags, and estiloCSS to "header.php".Recommendations
For EJ3 BlackBook version 1.0, consider validating and sanitizing user input for the
bookCopyright, ver, bookName, bookMetaTags, and estiloCSS parameters to prevent arbitrary script injection. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to "footer.php" and "header.php" to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
