CVE-2008-2644

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SMEWeb versions 1.4b through 1.4f
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the data parameter to "catalog.php", the keyword parameter to "search.php", the page parameter to "bb.php", and the new s parameter to "order.php".
Recommendations For SMEWeb versions 1.4b through 1.4f, consider restricting access to the vulnerable parameters data, keyword, page, and new s in their respective API endpoints until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
