Description The issue arises from improper handling of an invalid .properties file for an add-on, allowing remote attackers to read uninitialized memory. This can be demonstrated by using ISO 8859 encoding instead of UTF-8 encoding in a French .properties file.
Recommendations For Mozilla Firefox versions prior to 2.0.0.15, update to version 2.0.0.15 or later to resolve the issue. For SeaMonkey versions prior to 1.1.10, update to version 1.1.10 or later to resolve the issue.
